Brief History of PT. Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia)

Prudential plc is a leading financial services group in the UK that has more than 168 years of experience in the field of life insurance. They provide services in life insurance and health insurance, along with asset management which focuses on Asia and Africa’s markets. In 1995, they established PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) as their subsidiaries in Indonesia.

As one of the leading insurance companies in Indonesia, Prudential Indonesia commits to provide the best financial service and solutions for its customers. Prudential Indonesia launched their first product related to investment (unit link) back in 1999. 

Ever since their first launch, Prudential Indonesia has become the market leader in the category. By the end of 2021, Prudential Indonesia serves over 2,5 million of the insured, with more than 172.000 licensed marketers.

Prudential Indonesia and Daily Meaning’s Partnership Strategy

Prudential strategy to thrive is to strengthen its credibility and customer-centricity. To achieve the strategy, Prudential Indonesia has partnered with Daily Meaning. The partnership comes in the form of seminars and development programs. Each program has its specific purposes and is conducted in single or multiple batches which we conclude below:

  • The first seminar for Prudential Indonesia was conducted back in 2011 which talks about “Work-Life Balance”
  • Then, the partnership continued with several development programs in 2013. Some of these programs talk about “Embracing Partnership”, “Becoming an Impactful Leader” and “The Beautiful Mind in Collaboration”.
  • A three-batches seminar in 2015 talks about “Impactful Communication” was done to help Prudential’s Operation Solution Center team. The seminar was used to strengthen its credibility and optimize its role in giving added value to its stakeholders. 
  • In 2016, Daily Meaning facilitated the leadership programs which was aimed to strengthen the roles of team leader which was conducted in 2 batches. Daily Meaning also helped to optimize the role and service quality of the Policy Holder Service team through the “Leading the +1” seminar for all the team leaders and managerial level in 2 batches. 
  • There are also 2 development programs for the Finance team, which are “Credible & Reliable Finance Team” for the staff level and “Leading Change” for the managerial level which aims to develop them to be a strategic partner for their stakeholders based on future finance demand. 
  • Daily Meaning also provided programs to answer organization-wide needs in creating significant progress and impact. We created practical tools for leaders and managers. The tools were used to internally monitor the implementation progress of the leadership initiatives after the programs for OSC, PHS, and the Finance team.
